I know that understanding, appreciation and support are very important. So, I try my best to be positive in all my relationships with people. Even when something critical has to be said, it has to be said with a beneficial slant. I know how it feels to be demotivated (or should I say criticised) and I don’t like it.

I want for Sarah the best that she can be. I want her to be what she wants to be. I perhaps feel that I am more faulty than Sarah is and she is able to see those faults. She is able to accommodate them and help me to look at myself and my faults to a much greater degree than I am able to do to her. Thus it feels unequal in terms of what I receive compared to what I give. I know that she wouldn’t do that without a huge amount of love. I feel that one is only worth as much as one gives and, by that logic, because I don’t have as much to give Sarah as she has to offer me, I feel undeserving of the love she gives me.
